Aviation Publications

We are just so proud to be able to bring you the absolute best in aviation publications. Whether you're a modeler, a full scale pilot, just nuts about airplanes, or someone looking for a gift for any of the above, look no further!

The Golden Age of Aviation Series is just wonderful reading. Each volume presents everything you ever wanted to know about your favorite brand of aircraft from the '20's, '30's, and '40's

The Paul Matt Scale Aircraft Drawings Books are THE source of scale 3-Views and details for 124 of the world's best known aircraft.

The Paul Matt Scale Aircraft Drawings CD's go even further. All of the 124 aircraft included in the above two books are included for you to CROP, ENLARGE, ZOOM-IN & PRINT. And, if that weren't enough, the CD's include 12 to 15 photographs of each included aircraft for a total of about 450 images per CD!

Below are all the details and excerpts from each of the publications in Acrobat PDF format. The files had to be compressed for use here, but the quality of the text, drawings, and photos in each of the actual books and on the CD's is much higher.

The Golden Age of Aviation Series is published to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of Flight (1903-2003).  The books in the series highlight several manufacturers during the 1920s-1940s.  They present a historical look at aviation's Golden Years through detailed text, numerous archival photos and internationally-acclaimed 3-view scale drawings.  Each book takes a look at airplane builder from start-up (and before) through the struggling years of the Great Depression through World War II and beyond to the postwar boom/bust.  More books in the series are coming.  Series by Alan Abel, Drina Welch Abel & the late Paul Matt.

Book Reviews for The Golden Age of Aviation Series:
Smithsonian's Air & Space:
"Archival photos and technical drawings abound."
American Aviation Historical Society:
"...details the people, facilities and manufacturing operations."
EAA's Sport Aviation:
"...progressively tells the events and details of these aircraft."
Skyways:
"Your new series is a hit of the first order!"
